Greetings Researchers! Welcome to our 12th Devblog, while this Devblog may be small, and direct PvP development may seem lacking, we have other exciting news to share, such as the next PvP Playtest!


Test Subjects

This month has seen some minor development for Elena and the implementation of her Field Skill Effect.


Users within the Early Access group have been theory crafting about an potential adjustment regarding Elena's Ice Rink activation method(s). Currently Elena automatically activates her Ice Rink effect upon reaching the respective Icy Air stacks, the proposed change by users in the Early Access group is as follows: "Users will manually activate a new Field Skill which places the Ice Rink based on the currently held Icy Air stacks, the stack count will not be reduced by placing the Field Effect, only by shifting field or using Elena's combat skill." We would love to hear the communities upon on the above change as we know many players were unhappy with the original implementation of Elena's Ice Rink as they felt it became more of a burden than a benefit.


PvP AI Improvements

More development has been undergone on the "Bots", allowing them to feel more natural and provide a more fluid gameplay experience. Bots now also have a wide set of variables which are adjusted based on the "Rank" (Fox, Wolf etc) of the Bot, which will provide users with a variety of different difficulty of Bots to engage with during practice.


Localisation Tool Development

This month some users brought to our attention that there is missing localisations for certain Test Subject interaction scenes, so we have begun to put together the "Web Localisation Tool", which will be part of the website and accessible to users in the coming future to allow for those who wish to support us with the localisation of the game can do so by submitting localisations for the existing translations. While the current UI for this feature is not the prettiest, it is functional and allows for users to submit localisation adjustments to be merged back into the main localisation file which controls the text which is displayed in game. The UI will be improved once the tool is implemented into the website.


Database Merging

As many users were already aware from the Last Devblog, the Databases from the three regions are currently split but require merging. In the coming days a new game client update will be released where users are able to select their "main server" for us to to merge their data from to allow us to perform a Database merge. Once this merge has occurred a new Playtest will be able to begin. Users who do not set a "main server", will have the account with the highest researcher level merged to the new database.


New Staff Members

We want to thank those of you which have applied for the positions listed on our website from the last Devblog, while we are still processing the applications, we have made some new additions to the team, with more to come in the following few days.


When PvP?

We know many of you are eagerly waiting for the next PvP Playtest, and we want to thank you all for your patience over the last few months. The next PvP Playtest is planned to occur around the end of October and run for a longer duration than the previous Playtest. Once again, we want to thank you all for your support and patience and we can't wait to play with you all again soon!
